Course requirements

  • 7–9 hours of self-study weekly for 12 weeks
  • A weekly 2–2.5-hour seminar
  • Weekly progress assessments
  • A final assessment of at least 70%: examination, project or both
  • Weekly ministry activity when practical ministry credit is taken
  • Cognitive, spiritual and skill development

Standard grading

  • Student-book assignments: 10%
  • Attendance and participation: 20%
  • Weekly tests: 30%
  • Final examination: 40%
  • Projects may receive up to 20%, with test/exam weighting adjusted

Passing and attendance

  • 70% minimum on the final examination and overall course result
  • One final-exam resit within two weeks
  • A maximum of three absences; further absence requires repeating the course
  • A failed course may be repeated

Withdrawal

  • Course withdrawal: inform the facilitator; no credit is awarded
  • Program withdrawal: students are advised to inform the dean

Credit transfer

Submit a written request to the dean naming the courses, with descriptions and syllabi. The previous institution sends a sealed transcript to the Amman Service Centre. PTEE evaluates and communicates accepted credits.

Library

  • Local church libraries are the nearest resource for extension students
  • The Amman Service Centre library is available to students in Amman
  • Online resources are strongly encouraged

Transcripts and complaints

  • Students may request personal transcripts or have official transcripts sent directly to another institution
  • A fee applies to each transcript through the local office
  • Raise a complaint first with the facilitator, or with the dean when it concerns the facilitator
